iPad Training

iPad training suddenly becomes one of the most important things when you hit a problem or try to figure out how to use it correctly!

Our beloved Apple iPads are simply a fantastic tablet devise, and for the most part user-friendly.  But the crazy part is that nearly all of us don’t even know all the iPad lessons, tips and shortcuts that make it simpler to operate – some of us don’t even know how to use it in a business capacity.

A recent corporate study revealed that some 80% of business users only had an elementary knowledge when operating their devise.

Learning all about your tablet devices continues to be a hot topic, especially when iPad lessons get you started and enjoying it quickly, as apposed to hanging around figuring out how it works.

What’s really great is finding and trying out neat tips and tricks like with the latest Apple iOS update – suddenly there’s a bunch of cool features like the ability to download new updates without plugging into a computer.  Students using iPads at school learn to do some extremely amazing projects!

TIP: Use folders to organize your apps

By utilizing folders enables you to simply organize your iPad by separating apps into various categories.  What’s neat is it creates a default folder name which is typically an excellent description of all the apps contained within the folder; (1) simply create a folder by pressing on an app’s icon until they all start shaking, (2) then drag it onto another app and a folder is created containing both apps, (3) to add more apps to the folder, just drag drop them on the newly-created folder.

TIP: Reboot your devise

Simply by Rebooting your iPad can solve more problems than when fiddling around with other troubleshooting steps.  For instance, if it’s running slow just Reboot.  If any of your apps quit every time when try to launch, try Rebooting.  But be careful not to confuse putting it into ‘suspend mode‘ which is the same as ‘rebooting’.  To implement a ‘fresh start’, reboot by; (1) hold-down the Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds, (2) when prompted slide button to Shutdown and follow directions, (3) after the screen goes blank wait a few seconds and then hold-down the Sleep/Wake button again to boot it back up, (4) when the Apple logo appear release the Sleep/Wake button.  Then you’re back to the Home Screen.

TIP: Save your battery life by dimming brightness

Get the most from your tablet’s battery by simply dimming the display brightness; (1) go to Settings choosing Brightness & Wallpaper from the menu, (2) moving the slider to the left lessens the screen brightness as well as the power it uses, (3) mine is set at about 33%, but it depends on the ambient light and how much brightness you need.

Lionel can you say how is the iPad with retina display different from the iPad 4 please? And could you please tell me all the iPad generations there are? Thanks Dee!

    • Lionel says:

Hi Dee – the iPad 4 is what you see on Apple’s site (“iPad with Retina display”) and they’re the same thing. So far there have been 4 generations, iPad 1, iPad 2, iPad 3 “The New iPad”, and iPad 4. In comparison to the iPad 3, the processor on the iPad 4 is twice as fast. The front facing camera is 1.2 MP HD camera (instead of 0.3 MP standard definition). This link takes you to “iPad with retina display” (the iPad 3) http://www.apple.com/ipad/overview/
